Our first female joined us in December 2007: Neva’s Legend Fifa of Mystic Melody (we call her Pushka), a lovely warm Brown Classic Tabby with White. Fifa was imported from Russia and comes from a line of wonderful champions. She has a wonderful pedigree and her father is a very successful show cat and a supreme grand champion.
When we purchased Fifa we were not aware of the whole controversy of traditional vs color point. Since we are a traditional breeder, and Fifa is a color point carrier (her dad is a color point) NONE of her kittens will ever be available as breeder without being tested for the color point gene first. We do not want any more color point carriers in our lines, and any kitten that goes into the gene pool has to be negative of the color point gene.

Fifa is currently in a very odd and awkward stage. In puberty they can be completely out of proportion which now is the case with her. She is very long and tall, and yet has to start filling out, which they mostly start doing around the age of one year. This breed is very slowly maturing, and she comes from slowly maturing lines. They don't fully mature until the age of 4-5 years old. Her ears seem really big right now, but her head is still very small and narrow. Once her head starts getting wider and she starts filling out, it will all be more proportioned.
In March she won 5th best kitten in specialty on a tica show and the judge definitely sees her wonderful potential! Her feedback: "Nice heavy boning, great muzzle, beautiful eyes, correct ear set, good chin, good tail, very promising kitten, would like to see her again when she is fully mature".
Fifa is quite large for a female and has very heavy boning. She is sturdy and solid. She has the most gorgeous green eyes that looks just wonderful in a warm brown tabby. If you look at the logo of our website, you might be able to tell those are her eyes. She has a nice broad muzzle and her coat is very thick and soft. She has a great temperament, very affectionate, is easy to handle and very playful. She gets along with everyone she meets and loves to be with her people and get her belly scratched. Her favorite spot in the house in on top of the kitchen cabinets where she often hides when she wants to play hide and seek. Click here to stay up to date on Fifa's adventures in our home!
